Our Club meets every Thursday evening from 7.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. at The Church Croft, Saint Michael's Church, Flixton Village

About DAC
- Davyhulme Art Club began as a group of friends painting together. The Club was set up formally around 1972 by
Grace Makin and her friends.
- We are a group of amateur artists who paint together. The Club has always kept its friendly atmosphere,
supporting all abilities.
- A programme is set each year offering themed evenings, including portrait drawing, landscapes, and still
artwork. Members are encouraged to make suggestions as to what they would like the subjects to be.
- Occasionally, we invite professional artists to carry out a workshop with us.
- On at least two occasions during a year, we present an exhibition of our work including at
Urmston Library
for a week.
- We are Members of Trafford Arts Association along with many other local
community groups, including choirs, theatrical and musical groups.
- We welcome new members joining us!

October 2021 - Good news for our Members.
- Davyhulme Art Club has re-opened and is looking forward to planning our programme for the remainder of 2021.

Come and join us
- You would be welcome to spend a couple of weeks as a visitor, with a view to joining us if you would like to.
- Please telephone Chris Milne on 0161 613 9059 in the first instance.
- On a Thursday evening between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. you will find us at St Michael's Church Croft, 28 The Village, Flixton, M41 6HS.
- The Croft is situated at the Flixton end of Church Road, beyond the Church Inn car park on the left-hand side if you are coming from Urmston.
- We usually have a cup of tea and biscuits mid-way through the evening.
- We do not have tuition, but we have enthusiastic members who will be happy to give advice on how to get started if you have not done any painting before.
- If you are a seasoned artist we would welcome your input into our Club.
